JA Chicago Next Wave Β· 9β12 Program
Reporting and JA management tools in the Admin Panel.
The Admin Panel is your control center for the whole program. Open it from the home screen β the Admin button appears for JA admin accounts β and use the grouped buttons to jump between tools.

Three button groups: Reporting (Usage Data, Students), JA Functions (Users, Classes, Schools, Staff Roles, Report Access), and Backend Functions (lesson content and media tools). JA Admin accounts see the first two groups β Backend Functions stay reserved for Super Admin accounts.
Getting around: Tap a button to open its tool, and use the Back to Home button at the top left to return. Data is always live β it reflects the app instantly.
Share the teacher guide: The header holds quick downloads for the Teacher Training Guide (PDF and PowerPoint) that you can send to your teachers.
The Usage Data tab is your at-a-glance dashboard for the whole program β use it for weekly check-ins and program reporting.

Filter by school: The dropdown at the top focuses everything on one school, or shows All Schools. It also lists schools students typed during sign-up that have not been added to the Schools list yet.
Summary cards: Total Students, average XP per student, Lesson Completions, and Game Completions β a quick pulse of overall engagement.
Dig deeper: Below the cards you will find grade distribution, the most-completed lessons, the top XP students, and activity totals.
Always live: The numbers update automatically as students work β no refresh or export needed.
The Students tab lists every student profile in the program, with tools to inspect, correct, or remove records.

Browse the roster: Each row shows the studentβs grade, school, XP, and lessons completed at a glance.
Open a student: Tap a name to open the full detail view β completed lessons, quiz results, and progress across every module.
Fix a record: The pencil icon lets you correct a studentβs name, school, or grade β handy for typos made at sign-up.
Delete carefully: The trash icon removes a profile for good (a confirmation is required). Deleting a profile does not delete the studentβs login account.
The Users tab manages every login account in the app β students, teachers, and admins β including invitations.

Invite accounts: Send an invitation by email and choose the role β use Teacher for your teachers so they land in the My Classes portal after signing in.
Search the list: Look up any account by name or email to check its details or current role.
Change roles: Give JA staff the Admin app role plus the JA Admin staff role β they get Reporting and JA Functions without the backend tools. Use Super Admin for accounts that also need the backend tools.
Remove accounts: Accounts can be deleted with a confirmation. Admins cannot delete their own account.
The Classes tab shows every class in the program with its teacher, school, join code, and roster β the admin view of the class system.

See every class: Each card shows the class name, teacher, school, roster size, and the 5-character join code students use to join.
Create a class: Tap Create and pick a name, school, and teacher β a join code is generated automatically.
Fix assignments: Edit a class to change its name, school, or teacher, or copy its code to share it.
Retire or remove: Regenerate a code when one has been shared too widely, or delete a class β students are only unlinked from it, never deleted.
The Schools tab is your master list of schools β classes, staff, and reports all organize around it.

Add schools: Create a School record for each partner school so classes and staff can be assigned to it.
See who is where: Expand a school to see its classes, assigned staff, and enrolled students with counts.
Keep names consistent: School names students type at sign-up are matched to this list β adding a school with the same name groups those students automatically.
Delete with care: Removing a school does not remove its students or classes β clean those up first if you are retiring a school.
The Staff Roles tab manages staff records β who can open the Reporting Portal and at which level.

Review pending access: New staff records start as Pending β assign them a role when you are ready.
Assign roles: Sponsor sees high-level reports; JA Admin sees everything, including school, staff, and access management.
Search and organize: Find staff by name or email to check or update their role.
Remove records: Delete a staff record when someone leaves the program.
The Report Access tab controls which stat sections teachers and sponsors can see in their Reporting Portal.

Choose per role: Toggle the report sections (summary, grades, top lessons, top students, activity) separately for the Teacher and Sponsor roles.
Simpler portals: Turning a section off removes it from that roleβs portal entirely β useful for keeping sponsor views high-level.
Applies immediately: Saved changes take effect right away for everyone with that role.
